Friends --

If you think that Virginia is now a true "blue" state, think again. A recent battleground state poll shows President Trump winning Virginia in several different scenarios. Plus, the polling experts at FiveThirtyEight rate Virginia as a battleground state with about as much chance of going for Republicans next November as for Democrats.

We don't need to lose sleep over this troubling news -- we need to get to work building the strongest, Trump-proof, attack-resistant campaign we've ever had. Will you help us do it by taking this short survey?

In 2014, Mark won reelection by less than 1%. Just one year after President Obama won Virginia in 2008, Bob McDonnell won back the Governor's mansion by a wide margin in 2009. Republicans maintained majorities in the Virginia General Assembly for the vast majority of the last ten years and held a majority of our US House seats until just 12 months ago. We don't enjoy thinking about those things but we have to, because it could happen again. Republicans are counting on it. The Trump Victory Initiative is well underway in the Commonwealth, plotting its 2020 take-back.

We can't afford to take any chances this year. Please help us guarantee that Mark can keep fighting for Virginians in the Senate.
