The time to get the United States of America back on track is upon us, and we must not waste a single second. I sense a true uneasiness around our country amidst employee lay-offs by the thousands and inflation that makes it impossible to survive. It is undeniable that the current state of our country bares in stark contrast to the roaring Trump economy, where jobs were abundant and domestic production was at an all-time high. While the United Sates was once the envy of the world, under the Biden Administration, we have become the world's laughing stock.
I am on a mission to change the corrupt town that is Washington, D.C., and to disrupt the system. When I spoke at CPAC this week, I highlighted what the mainstream media does to those who tried to stand up against the establishment during the election of the Speaker earlier this year, where 20 Republicans were painted as a radical group of insurrectionists. We have a President who stumbles up the steps of Air Force One while his policies stumble, omnibus spending bills that require us to vote on military spending while voting for education, and appointed officials who forget about their own country. These are different and new times that require bold action. It is my honor to continue the fight and put America First!

As the Biden Administration continues to send billions in aid to Ukraine, with no clear end in sight, American taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent overseas. With this in mind, I questioned Defense Inspector General Robert Storch during a House Armed Services hearing, and he had no clear answers.
The Pentagon assumes the responsibility of following laws related to end-use monitoring of weapons and supplies that are distributed to other countries during conflicts. When asked if the Department of Defense has been following these laws, Storch repeatedly dodged the question, claiming that reports pertaining to end-use monitoring are classified. If top officials at the Department of Defense are unable to testify that proper oversight is being conducted, who knows what kind of deals are happening behind the backs of the American people.
Moreover, when I asked about Ukraine's rampant corruption, even he could not deny that the country has a history of deception. The United States continues to send billions of dollars toward a country whose officials have no remorse for stealing from foreign aid funds. From the termination of Ukraine's Deputy Infrastructure Minister for siphoning over $400,000 from a winter aid budget, to a wife of a former Ukrainian politician getting caught with $22 million in cash crossing into Hungary last year, it is quite obvious what goes on behind the scenes in Ukraine.

Congress needs to hold the Executive Branch accountable. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has refused time and time again to do his job, and he is a major contributor to the invasion of illegal immigrants pouring over the southern border. He lacks the will to even visit communities like Yuma, Arizona, where I witnessed the Biden border crisis firsthand during a House Judiciary field hearing last week.
On Wednesday, I was joined by my good friend U.S. Representative Chip Roy of Texas for an episode of Firebrand. Rep. Roy discussed how he plans to better serve his constituents, Texans, and America as a whole by introducing specific legislation to secure our border.
Rep. Roy's bill, H.R. 29, would give our government the power to deny the entry of any non-U.S. national during an immigration surge. Our current system is unsustainable, and it has become clear that we must deny the entry of illegal aliens into our country.

It seems that the stream of breaking news concerning China is endless. The U.S. government has confirmed my hypothesis about the origins of the coronavirus, with the U.S. Department of Energy announcing that a lab leak is the most likely cause of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their new report highlights how different parts of the intelligence community have all come to a similar conclusion that mirrors what I’ve been saying all along: COVID originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. Where have we heard this before? Well, if we track back all the way to May of 2020, you’ll remember CBS’ smear job of me on “60 Minutes," which was in response to my then "outlandish" claims that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Reporters like CBS' Scott Pelley mis-informed and lied to the public, claiming that research being done was “heroic” and in the best interest of the people, when in reality it was gain-of-function research. What’s even more ironic is that the United States' very own National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded this dangerous research. That’s right — American taxpayers have unknowingly paid for the NIH to misuse and mishandle funding, indirectly paying for research in a Chinese lab that led to one of the largest pandemics in recent human history.

Dr. Jefferey A. Singer, a Senior Fellow at the CATO Institute, claims that borders are for governments and not for people. Thousands of deaths related to drugs that come in through the southern border, illegal immigrants committing violent crime, and NICU beds being stolen from American babies beg to differ. During our House Judiciary hearing, I asked Singer if he thought any individual in the world has freedom of movement across our border? Shockingly, he said, "unfortunately, no." I argued it is the government's job to govern the conduct of people.
We are seeing with our own eyes what happens when the U.S. fails to provide the American people with a strong border. Witnesses testified during our hearing this exact sentiment, with one of them being a mother of a son who was killed by a pill that was laced with fentanyl. Her son did not overdose; he was poisoned. The open-border policies that Singer and the Biden Administration support have real consequences. The time for inaction has passed, and the U.S. must now strengthen its border in order to put America First.
REP. GAETZ VOTES IN SUPPORT OF PROTECTING AMERICANS' RETIREMENT FUNDS
The Biden Administration continues to inject woke ideology into almost every aspect of the American people's lives. Earlier this year, a Department of Labor rule went into effect that allows employers to consider "environmental, social, and governance" factors when choosing investments for their employees' retirement plans. That is why I voted in support of H.J. Res. 30, a resolution that protects hardworking Americans' retirement plans from being negatively impacted by partisan ideologies, like the Green New Deal. Money managers have no business exposing retirement funds to additional risk by injecting their politics into decisions about how to invest employees' money. Neither does Joe Biden.
