Lesko Supports Businesses in Arizona

It was wonderful to join Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and members of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Texas Chamber of Commerce to discuss how to combat businesses going woke and how to encourage even more businesses to come to Arizona!

Lesko Discusses Protecting Arizona's Water and Energy Resources

I met with members of the Arizona Municipal Power Users Association, Irrigation and Electrical District Association of Arizona, and the Arizona Power Authority to discuss solutions to protect Arizona’s water supply and energy grid. I am working to safeguard these critical resources for Arizonans!

Lesko Meets with Japanese Embassy

It was great to meet with Minister Tomoaki Ishigaki from the Japanese Embassy to discuss the importance of strengthening relations between the U.S. and Japan and how to counter China’s growing aggression.

Lesko Reintroduces Constitutional Amendment to Protect Parental Rights in Education

I introduced an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to guarantee that the fundamental right of parents to make the best educational decisions for their children is constitutionally protected. The Biden Administration’s Department of Justice has worked to target parents and prevent them from having a say in what their children are being taught in the classroom. This is unacceptable. That is why I am pleased to once again introduce this constitutional amendment to protect and affirm parents’ fundamental right to be involved in their kids’ education and choose the best educational option for their families.

GET THE FACTS: Combatting President Biden's Irresponsible Agenda 

Since taking office, President Biden has signed more executive orders than any president since President Gerald Ford to impose his radical agenda with just the stroke of a pen. With 107 executive orders signed in just two years, the Biden Administration has successfully left hardworking taxpayers to foot a $1 trillion bill to fund these executive orders. Worse, President Biden's spending agenda has sent inflation rates through the roof. The year-over-year inflation rate is now at 6.4% nationwide. In the Phoenix, AZ area, the inflation rate is even higher, at 9.5%. Americans are now paying more for just about everything. President Biden's cost-of-living crisis has now cost families $10,000 over the last two years due to the skyrocketing price of goods. Americans are suffering under the far left agenda.

The good news, however, is that House Republicans are rising to the occasion. This week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation to require the Biden Administration to report the inflationary impact of its executive orders prior to their enactment. This will better establish transparency and accountability to the White House's spending priorities. I will continue to work with my colleagues to combat the reckless spending, restore fiscal sanity, and lower prices for Arizonans and Americans across our nation. 

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after two years of appeals to the Social Security Administration to correct her benefits due to an income-related monthly adjustment amount miscalculation based on an incorrect adjusted gross income. Our office worked with the Social Security payment center to have the record reviewed and corrected. This resulted in the removal of an erroneous debt from the constituent's record.
