As I reach out to voters and supporters across Michigan and the country to secure investments for my re-election campaign, I keep hearing the same thing: folks telling me that they don’t usually get involved in campaigns this early in the cycle.

Believe me, I get it – it can feel like the 2022 election just wrapped up and the 2024 election is ages away. But the truth is that fundraising at this point in the election cycle determines the kinds of long-term investments we’re able to make in crucial resources like campaign staff and voter outreach.
