Aloha Kākou Hawai‘i Republicans,
The Hawai‘i Republican Party is pleased to announce that the 2023 State Convention is scheduled to be gaveled in on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 9:00am at the beautiful Nani Maui Gardens ([link removed]) in Hilo, Hawai'i, within just a few minutes' drive from the Hilo International Airport (about 2.0 miles).
Grassroots training will be conducted by the prominent Leadership Institute ([link removed]) , on Friday, May 5, 2023, also held at Nani Mau Gardens ([link removed]) from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
The business of the 2023 State Convention will include the adoption of rules changes and the election of new Party officers.

For those interested in running for an officer position, please refer to HRP Rule 404 ([link removed]) for guidance on submitting Nomination Petition Papers located HERE ([link removed]) .

More information on how to submit requests for Rules Changes will be forthcoming.
Convention Fee(s):
The Convention Fee this year is $75.00 per person and the fee for Friday's workshop is $30.00 per person. Both include a light breakfast and lunch. A registration link will be sent out to delegates in coming weeks, after the initial credentialing of qualified delegates have been completed. *Registration will close on April 25, 2023, at 5:00pm.
Hotel Reservations:
Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Hilo Hawaiian ([link removed]) Hotel ([link removed]) at
808-935-9361 for the Hawai'i Republican Party discounted group rate of $160 per night only for May 5th through May 7th. Resort fees are waived, and parking is free.
Please be aware that rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis or up until April 4th, whichever comes first. Regular room rates start at $175.00 per night, not including resort fees and parking.
Flight Schedule:
Because flight schedules are limited in and out of Hilo, it is highly recommended for members flying into Hilo to book flights as soon as possible.
Ground Transportation:
More information about transportation to and from the airport, hotel and the Convention site will be forthcoming, included with the registration link.
Becoming a Delegate:
To be a delegate at the 2023 State Convention, members should have been elected at their respective District Precinct Election Meeting (PEM) held in February. If you were unable to attend your PEM meeting and want to become a delegate, please click HERE ([link removed]) to submit your request by April 10, 2023, in order to be appointed. If you are unsure about your status as a Delegate, please contact your District Chair or County Chair. ([link removed])
