John,
Victory Institute partnered with the Barbara Lee Family Foundation (BLFF) for a one-of-a-kind report about women running for office, and we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it.
Inspired by 2019’s Year of the Lesbian Mayor , the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, Lake Research Partners, and Bellweather Research asked Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of Victory Institute, to contribute as a thought-leader. Lake Research Partners is led by one of the nation’s leading political strategists and pollsters, Celinda Lake , who spoke at the 2019 International LGBTQ Leaders Conference!
This report, which asks about hypothetical Asian American, Black, Latina, lesbian and white women candidates of the two major political parties, comprehensively examines what it takes for a woman to demonstrate to voters that she is viable, electable, and capable of leading.
You can read the full report here: Ready, Willing, and Electable: Women Running for Executive Office (2019). [[link removed]]
