** 📣Flip the Script at UN’s Conference on the Least Developed Countries!
------------------------------------------------------------

The Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5 ([link removed]) ), from 5 to 9 March 2023, in Doha, is a once-in-a-decade opportunity to chart a new path for accelerating sustainable development, tackling climate change, and taping the full potential of the Least Developed Countries.

Momentum must return to put the furthest behind first with investment and opportunity – including those most impacted by the climate crisis and women and girls in the LDCs, solution holders, changemakers and future leaders in these nations.

We know that the future of the 2030 Agenda lives or dies in these countries, where the pressing needs of 1.1 billion people represent the most vulnerable and the most impacted by the climate and health crises. The cost of doing nothing, is not nothing – it's more crises.

LDC5 aims to turn potential into prosperity

World leaders will gather with the private sector, civil society, parliamentarians, young people and more to advance ideas, raise new pledges of support, and spur delivery on agreed commitments, such as the promise and ambition from the Doha Programme of Action ([link removed]) (DPoA) over the following decade.

It is expected that specific initiatives and concrete deliverables will be announced that will address LDC-related challenges. Moreover, LDC5 will feature plenary sessions, parallel high-level thematic roundtables, and a series of side events on various priority themes of the DPoA, and dedicated ones to the Private Sector, CSOs, Youth, Parliamentarians and South-South tracks on the margins of the Conference.

The UN SDG Action Campaign will be present at LDC5 to conduct strategic activities and build mobilization for this year’s SDG Summit ([link removed]) . Learn below!
