On *Monday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced the approval of assistance for two projects set to create 223 new jobs and retain 165 jobs statewide.??
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $10.1 million in new payroll and spur more than $4.4 million in investments across Ohio.?? Projects approved by the TCA include:?

The week, co-hosted by Team Fishel and Amazon Web Services, highlighted careers in the broadband industry and included free tech skills training courses to help build the skilled, technical workforce in Ohio.?

On *Wednesday*, Governor DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine took part in several events in East Palestine. The day included a visit to the train derailment site, a visit to Sulphur Run and Leslie Run, a meeting with the district superintendent, a communitywide crisis-relief supply distribution event with the Brightside project, and a joint press briefing with the Ohio EPA, U.S. EPA, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.?

Announced during his 2023 State of the State address, the task force will study the issues surrounding quality of life and quality of care in Ohio's nursing homes.?

Finally, on *Thursday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor DeWine provided a status update on the new dioxin testing that U.S. EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Ohio EPA Director Ann Vogel ordered Norfolk Southern to begin performing. In addition to the dioxin testing, updates were also provided on hazardous waste removal, municipal water testing, private well sampling, animal necropsies, student services, the health assessment clinic, and trauma coping resources.?
