‌ ‌ WEEKLY UPDATE March 3rd, 2023 Dear Kansas friends, Thank you for your interest in receiving my newsletter. Please feel free to share this with your friends and family. I Voted YES on the REIN IN Inflation Act Democrats' out-of-control federal spending has fueled the worst inflation crisis in four decades. Today, I voted YES on the REIN IN Inflation Act to provide a much-needed check on President Biden's reckless executive spending agenda WATCH HERE Americans Deserve the Truth on COVID-19 Origins After years of lies and cover-ups, Americans deserve the truth on the origins of COVID. I’m committed to getting to the bottom of the COVID-19 lab leak and delivering accountability for the American people. Watch HERE The Parents Bill of Rights As a father of four young kids, I know how important it is for parents, not politicians, to be in charge of their children's education. This week I cosponsored the Parents Bill of Rights to deliver on my promise to Kansas parents. Americans Must Stand with Israel America must always stand with Israel against terrorist organizations who wish to destroy it. I asked UN Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield how we can justify funding UNRWA programs with American tax dollars when we frequently find Hamas terror tunnels under their facilities. Watch HERE Failures of the Biden Administration Even President Biden agrees with House Republicans that Democrats' soft-on-crime policies have made America's cities less safe. Read more HERE Retirement accounts are already plummeting under President Biden. The last thing Americans need is fund managers putting woke climate policies ahead of their financial security. I just voted to BLOCK the Department of Labor's new rule that would allow plan managers to automatically enroll retirement savers into ESG investments. Americans deserve answers. Read More HERE Over 1,000,000 illegal immigrants have crossed our border this fiscal year—that's 6,700 migrants PER DAY! President Biden's open-border policies continue to incentivize illegal immigration and fuel the worst border crisis in American history. There's no such thing as eliminating student loan debt. President Biden is just trying to transfer $400+ BILLION of debt onto hard-working taxpayers who either paid off their loans already or never took a loan out in the first place. How is that fair? Read more HERE Answers for East Palestine It's unacceptable that the Biden administration ignored the toxic train derailment in East Palestine for over a week. This crisis is just the latest example of failed leadership from Secretary Pete Buttigieg. My colleagues and I on the House Oversight Committee are demanding answers. Read more HERE Meeting with Kansans It's always an honor to talk with Kansas veterans about issues they are facing back home and what my office can do to help ensure our veteran community is getting the care they deserve from the federal government. Thank you to the Kansas American Legion for stopping by! I had a fantastic time touring TCALC (Topeka Center for Advanced Learning & Careers + College Prep Academy) this week. It was great to talk with students and educators about the wide range of programs TCALC offers to help prepare Kansas high schoolers for the future. It's always great to see Jayhawks and Wildcats come together—especially during basketball season. Fantastic meeting with students from KU and K-State to talk about how Kansas universities are working to return to normalcy following the pandemic. Thanks for stopping by! Honoring Black History Month February was Black History Month — a chance to celebrate, honor, and reflect on the countless contributions generations of African Americans have made to communities across America.
