“Drugmaker Eli Lilly caps the cost of insulin at $35 a month, bringing relief for millions” - NBC News
Big news, John.
The Inflation Reduction Act is hard at work – helping lower the cost of insulin for seniors on Medicare. Now, a major drug company is following our lead and capping costs for every American who uses their insulin products.
Just this week, drugmaker Eli Lilly capped the cost of its insulin at an out-of-pocket cost of $35 for everyone. This change will help millions of Americans afford their life-saving medication. But the fight isn’t finished. Every insulin maker in the country should follow suit.
Can you sign my petition supporting lowering the cost of all life-saving insulin – so that every American can have access to affordable insulin?

I’m proud to have cast my vote in support of the Inflation Reduction Act — legislation that not a single Republican in Congress voted for. This week's news is proof that Democrats are continuing to deliver results for all Americans. However, we must continue to work to get every company to cap the cost of their insulin. Millions of Americans rely on insulin — and the price is notoriously higher here compared to the costs in other countries.
Will you sign my petition to help us continue our work to lower the cost of insulin and everyday medication for all Americans?

We have made great progress, but there is still so much work to be done. I look forward to continuing to fight for lower prescription drug costs for every American.
My best,
