Director Tondra Davis is Moving On

Tondra Davis

It is with a heavy heart and hopeful attitude that I share the news I will resign my position as Director of the Wisconsin Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) effective March 11, 2023. I am passionate about the work I?ve done to continuously improve the Supplier Diversity Program. As I join the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) as its Director for the Office of Business Opportunities and Equity Compliance, I am hopeful this new role will allow me to continue this passion helping diverse suppliers in a greater way.

It has been my pleasure serving SDP for almost 3 ? years, and I am so proud of the accomplishments we?ve achieved. Some of the highlights include:

* Achieving Wisconsin?s MBE Diverse Spend goal for three consecutive years after decades of falling short.
* Increasing Wisconsin?s Diverse Spend with minority and veteran-owned businesses to record numbers.
* Growing the program to over 1,400 certifications.
* Increasing the number of DVB certifications by 50%.
* Developing Program and Certification Logos.
* Launching a monthly newsletter and weekly opportunities bulletin.
* Revitalizing the SDP website to include application information, training videos, FAQs, business resources, and much, much more.

My staff and I could not have achieved any of these milestones without your strong support. Thank you!

All the best,

*~**Tondra*

Rest in Peace Governor Tony Earl

Flowers

Forty years ago in 1983, the Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification Program was established during the tenor of Governor Tony Earl. Sadly, Governor Earl passed away last week. SDP is thankful for the leadership and contributions of Governor Earl in helping establish the MBE Certification Program. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones. May he rest in peace.

Email Best Practice: Put Company Name in Signature Block

Emailing Image

As a general business tip, we recommend placing your company name in your email signature block. Recently, we have received numerous emails that do not include a company name. This causes a delay in our response. Please include your company name in your signature block so SDP and your customers know who you are.
