It’s time to raise the minimum wage in Maryland, John.

That’s why earlier this week, I testified before the General Assembly in support of our Fair Wage Act, which would raise the state minimum wage to $15 an hour by October 1, 2023 — two years sooner than planned.

Since the beginning of our movement, I made it clear that as your governor, I would do everything in my power to create work, wages, and wealth for every Marylander.

Raising the minimum wage is a key first step that will put more money into workers’ paychecks, helping our state grow and work towards eliminating childhood poverty.

Without this increase in wages, Maryland families will only fall further behind, as the costs of living continue to rise.

If you’re with me and want to see the Maryland minimum wage increased to $15 this October, add your name to support the Fair Wage Act now.
