The Protecting Minors from Medical Malpractice Act, led by Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), protects vulnerable children from transgender procedures by giving victims the ability to sue medical professionals who irreparably harmed them.
These minors are told that these procedures will “fix” any gender dysphoria they are experiencing. But “transition” doesn’t address the real, underlying problems that cause someone to feel they are in the wrong body. And, we know that a vast majority of children who experience gender dysphoria will grow out of it by the time they reach adulthood.
Solutions should never include removing healthy body parts and other interventions that lead to life-altering complications such as sterilization.
ASK CONGRESS TO PROTECT CHILDREN NOW
Unfortunately, minors who changed their minds after they already went through multiple rounds of surgeries and endless experimental hormones have nowhere to turn for restoration. They are shamed by the media and the organizations that convinced them these surgeries would make them happy.
That’s why we drafted our Help Not Harm legislation – the basis for the bill just introduced in Congress.
Family Policy Alliance has been fighting to ensure that help, not harm is provided to children experiencing gender dysphoria. But we could not do this without your help.
Please take a moment to ask your House and Senate members to cosponsor this piece of federal legislation. It only takes a minute at our Action Center.
Then, lift up a prayer for these minors who are considering or have undergone transgender procedures. Children today need a hedge of prayer over their minds, bodies, and hearts as they engage the culture around them.
