1. NC VALUES: Thank you for showing up in Raleigh and helping us defend the unborn!

NC Values was blessed so many supporters from across the state came out for our two Legislative Days of Action to support a heartbeat bill!

Currently there are two ideas being discussed in the General Assembly—13 weeks versus a Heartbeat bill at 6 weeks. If a 13-week pro-life bill passes, only 13-percent of babies lives will be saved, but with a 6 week Heartbeat bill 86 percent of babies currently being aborted would be saved. It was wonderful meeting so many of you in person! Thanks to all who came, and we are asking everyone to please pray that a Heartbeat bill will be advanced. Check out some photos from day one <[link removed][0]=AZUhoQVW4FoSYknSSvepNEoxobQ_YU4xwuXInqT7UGeSeLp-SgJpxu9T6jAKsFsc_U8Vtnyor1y9va4BB5CUtOfGaIq9HDBV0eI1gHQ8K-Lffp0fQlOB2fheBd6-SbNJsW2mrMhVGBHRVHoejOPowEwvVjNFGv2gbIo5QcQt3QPM22zCjjyZHogHEZHiWWUHhCMAaacKkHJI-UGSOIGOiS9X&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R> and day two <[link removed][0]=AZXVzxCEDPwD3A0gX3TGGRNnzv6nN9lLnM89qeIkSd6DcOPaWKFtNkh14wvJCxTj_WbznahT2rJCSRIX9ozvltVlpNo9PIXqueJ1BsOakhchshVN7bq4qT-nsLZVsoXOEhkUPkxclPQ352auDcoSTch3SWhZnDjidpN4CeSnDBi3BgJuSd2TAILK-R728IU0QgROYZQNMSrWv-1hS_1Vk3MG&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R>. <[link removed]>

Here are several ways you can still help:

- Pray: Continue to pray for our efforts and our legislators. Pray that the LORD gives them courage on the issue, and a clear conscience.

- Contact: If you have a minute to spare, would you email or call your legislator with our easy and time-saving click-to-contact tool <[link removed]>? We’ve heard from legislators directly that they are receiving a good number of your calls and emails. Keep it up!

- Donate: If you appreciate the work NC Values does putting these types of pro-life tools and events together, would you consider making a needed donation of any amount towards sustaining our efforts? <[link removed]>

- Share: We created this graphic to put the fight for a Heartbeat bill in perspective. Would you consider sharing it online?

Thank you!

2. WUNC: NC House Republicans talk privately on abortion

"North Carolina House Republicans met privately Tuesday to discuss where they stand on additional abortion restrictions, according to the chamber's top official.

But Speaker Tim Moore cautioned against expecting quick movement within the General Assembly among Republicans interested in narrowing further when abortions are permitted in the state."

"The North Carolina Values Coalition, which led Tuesday's lobbying effort, said it expected more allies to visit Raleigh on Wednesday. 'I think you will see a continued push from people around the state, from voters who have voted for people who have campaigned as being pro-life,' coalition executive director Tami Fitzgerald told The News & Observer of Raleigh. 'They’re going to hold those people accountable for how they campaigned.'"

3. TND: Christian school leaves girls basketball tournament after refusing to face trans player

"A girls high school basketball team in Vermont withdrew from a state tournament after refusing to play against another team that had a transgender player on its roster.

The Mid Vermont Christian School (MVCS) girls basketball team was supposed to play a first-round game against Long Trail School last Tuesday night. But because of its unwillingness to suit up against a team with a biologically male player, the school forfeited, and thus had to withdrawal from the year-end tournament.

'We withdrew from the tournament because we believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players,' MVCS Head of School Vicky Fogg told The National Desk in a statement."

5. NBC NEWS: Mississippi governor signs bill banning transgender health care for minors

"Mississippi on Tuesday became the seventh state to enact a restriction on certain transition-related health care for minors.

Gov. Tate Reeves, a Republican, said he signed the bill, which bars puberty blockers, hormone therapy and surgery for minors, because 'there is a dangerous movement spreading across America today.'

'It’s advancing under the guise of a false ideology, and pseudo science is being pushed onto our children through radical activist, social media and online influencers, and it’s trying to convince our children that they are in the wrong body,' Reeves said at a news conference Tuesday, after he signed the bill. 'This dangerous movement attempts to convince these children that they’re just a surgery away from happiness. It threatens our children’s innocence, and it threatens their health.'"

Weekly Prayer: Life

LORD, we recognize that you are Sovereign over all creation. We recognize you made man from the dust, and in your mercy, you crowned creation with man and woman made in your image. What a wonder it is that you would bestow upon us this blessing and responsibility!

LORD, may we not take this blessing for granted. We pray that this great responsibility and dignity may motivate us to love You, our neighbors, and our families more. LORD, may we as a culture truly see and believe that children are a blessing from the LORD—born or unborn; able or disabled. All children should have an opportunity to experience the liberty of life. LORD, make us your vehicle to change our culture into one that cherishes and protects life. Keep at the forefront of our minds our responsibilities to respect, cherish, and serve the youngest and oldest in our society.

"At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.'" (Matthew 18:1-6)

Amen
