Texans are so independent that we celebrate twice! Today is the official Independence Day for Texas when we signed our own Declaration of Independence.
However, April 21st is the day we used the Twin Sisters cannons against Santa Anna and won that final battle in San Jacinto. And that's when True Texas Project celebrates with a big party and fireworks, and we raffle off a chance to shoot off replicas of those 2 cannons!
