At this dark time in our nation’s history, the passage of the new USMCA trade deal offers a flicker of light and hope that our elected leaders can still find a way to do the people’s business. The USMCA levels the playing field for trade between the United States and its two biggest partners, Canada and Mexico. The deal, which passed with both Democratic and Republican support, is expected to raise GDP growth, add jobs, and establish new environmental, labor, and manufacturing standards.
