Last weekend, Sister District kicked off our sixth annual summit!
John,
Last weekend, Sister District came together with over 150 members of our community for our sixth annual summit in Berkeley, California — and our time together was both fun and extremely productive!
Here’s a quick recap:
Meeting in person for the first time since before the pandemic, dedicated volunteers from as far away as Boston and Chicago joined year-round staff, alumni candidates, campaign operatives, and organizational partners to look back at our midterm outcomes and prepare for the work ahead. 📢
We heard from Rep. Deb Butler and Rep. Lorena Austin — two of our powerhouse alum 💪 — about how Sister District helped them run and win tough races.
✍️ Anat Shenker-Osorio, Principal of ASO Communications and host of the Words to Win By podcast, joined us for a keynote fireside chat about choosing the right words to organize, fundraise, and win, not just during this election cycle, but over the long term.
ActBlue, Action Network, Emerge, and New Media Ventures (NMV) made this year’s summit possible. A huge thank you to our sponsors for their commitment to building progressive power — and a shoutout to ActBlue and Action Network for joining us! ✨
Learning from each other is one of the best ways we can continue making a big impact at the state level. And while our summit is over, we’re more energized than ever to continue building power in state legislatures with you.
We rely on grassroots donations from supporters like you, and most of those donations come from emails like this one. However, if you would like to change your subscription preferences, here are some options:
Paid for by Sister District Project. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
Donations to Sister District Project, a 527 organization, are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
