And she's on track to do so. During Kavanaugh's confirmation, Sen. Collins called for an investigation that gave her cover for the critical vote she cast in his favor. But reporting revealed the investigation was tightly controlled by the White House and did not include interviews with key witnesses. And this week, Collins voted against subpoenaing key witnesses and White House documents in the Senate impeachment trial.
