Folks, we missed our end-of-month goal.

There’s no way to sugarcoat this because it’s a big setback for our campaign as we head into March. And to make matters worse, March is the last month of our quarterly fundraising period.

If we want any chance of hitting projections throughout March, we first need to close the books from February and get out of the red.

Writing emails like this is one of my least favorite things to do. But I’ve learned that running a campaign as important as ours isn’t always sunshine and roses.

We’re on a mission to keep the only Democratic district in deep-red Alabama in a cycle where the GOP is expected to double down on their efforts to unseat me.

Every dollar raised matters when it comes to showing Republican leadership that AL-07 isn’t theirs for the taking. That’s why when we miss fundraising goals like this, it’s crucial that we reconcile it immediately.
