# [#]I’m leading a group of Democratic Attorneys General in a federal lawsuit against the FDA to stop unlawful and unnecessary restrictions on mifepristone — an abortion pill used by millions of Americans for the majority of abortions.

As more states across the country ban or severely restrict access to abortion and reproductive care, unnecessary restrictions on drugs like mifepristone present yet another obstacle that Americans must face as they attempt to receive the care they need.

Washington State has now become a safe haven for reproductive care, and more Americans are traveling from across the country to receive abortion care here in Washington. That includes a woman from Texas who traveled 2,000 miles to have an abortion. That’s why I recently announced that my team recruited a group of law firms here in Washington that will provide free legal services to anyone who faces legal consequences related to their reproductive care.
