BREAKING: Constitutional amendment proposed to bypass abortion rights in Alaska
John,
For years, both the Alaska Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court have upheld that a woman's right to reproductive choice is protected by our state and the federal Constitution.
Today, that's under attack yet again by Republicans in the Alaska State Senate. Senator Shelley Hughes just proposed an amendment to our Constitution to let the Alaska Legislature bypass these rulings and restrict the right to choose as they please.
We can't let this happen. Add your name today to say Alaska's reproductive rights must be protected.
Leaders like Shelley Hughes, Mike Dunleavy, and Dan Sullivan would rather play party politics than respect women's personal medical decisions. Doctors and public health experts all agree: the kind of abortion restrictions they want to pass would endanger women and lead to worse health outcomes across the board.
Dr. Al Gross understands how these kinds of decisions should be between a woman and her doctor. As an independent voice for what's right for Alaska, he wouldn't play politics with something this important.
Join Dr. Al in calling on the Alaska Legislature to reject this amendment and keep women's reproductive choices between them and their doctor. Sign the petition today.
Thank you for standing with us and doing what's right.
