The Annual Update will kick off with a half-day conference at UCLA School of Law, Contested Truths: LGBTQ Research in the Age of Misinformation. This conference will examine the spread of LGBTQ+ misinformation in the media, policymaking, and academia—and effective ways to respond to it. The conference will be immediately followed by the final round of our annual Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Moot Court Competition.
On the evening of April 14, join us for our Gala Awards Reception and Founders Dinner in UCLA Law’s Shapiro Courtyard. We have some incredible honorees this year. We are recognizing the trailblazing researcher Jessica Xavier, whose work launched community-based transgender research, and Latham & Watkins, LLC, for their consistent support of the Williams Institute—and of the legal rights of LGBTQ people more broadly.
We have one additional honoree to come, who has given a lifetime of service to LGBTQ people, PLWH, and our democracy. Stay tuned for that announcement in the coming weeks!

Thank you,
Brad
