Michigan Democrats announced legislation to prevent gun violence in our state

Hello,

In the days following the tragic shooting at Michigan State University, many Michigan Democrats stood up and spoke out, making a vow to move quickly on gun violence prevention measures and reform. And then those Michigan Democrats got to work.

Michigan Democrats introduced 11 bills to require universal background checks, close private sale loopholes, create safe storage laws, and create "red flag laws." These bills are effective and commonsense measures that will keep our communities and kids safe.

Just this week, Michigan House Democrats introduced another package of bills to ban guns at polling places, drop boxes, early voting locations, and counting boards in order to protect voters and election workers. This legislation will make sure Michigan voters are free to vote without fear or intimidation from extremists who are afraid of free and fair elections.

When our party comes together, Team, we can move mountains and get the work done. Right now, we need to do exactly that, and Michigan Democrats are proving what real leadership looks like.

I am reaching out to you today to see if you’re ready to take action to help pass gun violence prevention laws now. Please let me know what actions you can commit to taking today:
