Andrea Campbell has only been the state’s attorney general for just over a month, but already she’s proving how Dem AGs are transforming and expanding their roles to safeguard the well-being and equity of the people they represent.
AGs in Massachusetts have typically utilized the broad authority provided to them by the state’s strong consumer protection laws to focus on civil litigation, and AG Campbell has laid out a plan to go above and beyond that work to use her office to advocate for social and criminal justice.
Included in her plan is an initiative to take on misleading, anti-abortion groups who intentionally mislead patients about their healthcare options. She also plans to work alongside law enforcement to take down bad actors involved in gun trafficking and deliberately sidestepping the state’s strong gun control laws.
Not to mention, she’s tackling corruption head-on by creating a working group that brings attorneys from various departments together to investigate public servants who embezzle funds or breach the confidence of the community members that they serve. Dem AGs are guided by the values of the People’s Lawyer, and AG Campbell’s actions are an excellent example. Can you chip in to elect principled public servants like AG Campbell?

If there’s anything AG Campbell’s historic first month in office has made abundantly clear, it’s that we need to elect more Dem AGs like her across the country who will work hard every day to push beyond the traditional expectations of their roles and fight even harder to ensure safety and justice for their constituents. Donate whatever you can now to help make it happen.
Thanks,
