The political upheavals of 2014 in Ukraine and the simmering conflict that continued for eight years on Ukraine’s territory remain of fundamental importance for an understanding of the war in Ukraine and viable paths to peace.
To discuss these issues, the Quincy Institute is holding a conversation with two leading experts on Ukraine, professors Dominique Arel and Jesse Driscoll. Their book, Ukraine’s Unnamed War, is a crucial guide to the origins of the Russian invasion and the ethnic, cultural, political and geopolitical dynamics that underlie the present conflict. It should be essential reading for U.S. policymakers, analysts, and all Americans who are concerned by this tragic and dreadful war. Suzanne Loftus, Research Fellow at the Quincy Institute, will moderate.
