John,
Today, LGBTQ+ Victory Institute begins a new chapter. I'm excited to share that we now have a new name, new logo and new visual identity. Click here to watch our brand launch video. Or, see the new colors in action on our website.
When crafting this new brand, our team had one big goal in mind: to honor and celebrate LGBTQ+ people's joy, resilience and historic moments. You can see it in the new plus we've added to our logo: our community is expansive, ever-evolving and welcoming to all. You can see it in our colors: the updated pinks and blues that reflect the colors of the trans flag, while the broader, vibrant color scheme pays homage to the LGBTQ+ Pride flags used through the ages.
Our look may be new, but our mission to elect pro-choice LGBTQ+ leaders to public office has not changed. In many ways, the LGBTQ+ community is at an inflection point. While LGBTQ+ people continue to run for office in record numbers, we still have to elect over 35,000 more out LGBTQ+ people to office to achieve equitable representation. The movement to rollback LGBTQ+ equality and dismantle trans rights is reaching a fever pitch.
But when LGBTQ+ people are united, we are a powerful force for progress across the globe, which is why this new brand is also a rallying cry for our community to get engaged in the political process. Until we achieve true equality, we will continue building, training and supporting a diverse pipeline of LGBTQ+ leaders across the globe who are ready to serve their communities.
Our work is not yet done. As we moved forward into this new chapter and continue to support and elevate LGBTQ+ elected officials, I'm grateful to have supporters like you standing with us. If you can once again support this essential work with a donation, we appreciate it.
Thank you again and enjoy exploring the new website,
Mayor Annise Parker
