We keep seeing big energy profits being broadcast, but there is something that we can do. 

XR needs your support to build alliances to create the most beautiful, inclusive protest the Government has seen. From April 21st, the Government will witness the demand to end the fossil fuel era. Let’s confine fossil fuels to history by demanding a halt to all new licenses and funding for fossil fuel exploration & extraction, and profiteering that comes with it.

Sources: Make My Money Matter pointed to a report in February 2022 from the campaign group ShareAction, which claimed that in 2021 HSBC, Barclays, Santander, NatWest and Lloyds, between them provided almost $16bn (£12.9bn) in finance to the 50 largest oil and gas companies that were expanding production.
