Hi there,

What a year!

One year ago today, we launched an exploratory committee for President of the United States with a few people in a tiny office in South Bend. We now have over 500 staff and 70 offices across the country.

For a long time, I’ve believed Pete has the appeal, message, and leadership to build a winning coalition to not only secure the nomination, but also defeat Donald Trump in a general election.

But twelve months into this, everything comes down to what we’re able to do in the next 11 days before the Iowa Caucuses. I know we can win, and I know this because we have you. I mean that. The work you’ve done over the last year is nothing less than extraordinary, and there’s not a team I’d rather be on. [[link removed]]

If you can, will you make your first contribution right now, on our one year anniversary of launching the exploratory committee? [[link removed]]

While we’ve come a long way, we are still the underdog campaign. This race features a former vice-president, the Democratic runner-up in 2016, and another well-known senator. We don’t have their massive fundraising lists, Pete is the least wealthy person running, and we’re being targeted by dark money groups. And yet, we are right in the mix and have a good shot.

We need to turn the page on our politics of the past. We know Pete is the leader to do it. We need to make sure we can run the type of campaign that can win. [[link removed]]

We’ve built our campaign on belonging and joy, and we’re prepared to take on the issues frozen in the Washington political mindset, but we won’t be able to do that without your support.

As it stands, we’re being outraised by our competitors, and if we don’t have the resources to run our programs on the ground in Iowa in the next 11 days we’ll fall behind. If you can, click here to donate any amount, even $1, to help us prepare for the Iowa Caucuses and beyond. [[link removed]]

This campaign, and the community we’ve built around it, has grown exponentially since our announcement last January. We are committed to fostering an America that is better for everyone, where more people have healthcare, people earn higher wages, our climate is protected, kids are safe, and our best days are ahead.

Thanks for being part of our team and helping us build what we now know as the Pete for America campaign.

Mike
