Friend, if you’re new here, hi — I’m Antonio Delgado. I’m a husband, father to twin boys, and Lieutenant Governor of New York.
Today, I hope you will join Team Delgado for the long fight ahead. But first, will you let me explain why this is so important?
I’m a born-and-raised New Yorker, from Schenectady. My parents worked hard to give our family a chance at the American Dream — helping me go to Colgate for college, become a Rhodes Scholar, attend Harvard Law School, and beyond.
In 2018, I took the values my family instilled in me and ran for Congress. For far too long, lawmakers in Washington simply didn’t give a voice to working families like mine longing for safety, prosperity, and opportunity.
Friend, I’m proud that we won that race and I became the first person of color to represent Upstate New York in Congress. During my two terms in Congress, I was very active, with 18 of my bills being signed into law — 10 under former President Trump, and 8 under President Biden. I knew it was my duty to deliver results for the thousands of New Yorkers who depended on me. I worked across the aisle to secure health care in the wake of COVID-19, protected our small businesses and farms, and so much more.
In May 2022, I was appointed New York’s Lieutenant Governor, and in November 2022, I was elected by the people of New York to serve for a full term.
