Friend,

The cost of life-saving prescription medicine in America is out of
control. According to a [ [link removed] ]poll by Kaiser Family Health, eight in ten
adults say that the cost of prescription drugs is unreasonable. And almost
30 percent aren’t taking their medication as prescribed due to cost.

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act that Congress passed in 2022, vital
medication is becoming more affordable. For the first time, Medicare has
the power to negotiate prescription drug prices. Insulin costs have been
capped at $35 per month for Medicare patients as a result.

Now, Eli Lilly has [ [link removed] ]announced they’ll be capping out-of-pocket costs for
insulin at $35 a month for everyone.

Make no mistake, Eli Lilly would not have taken these steps without
pressure from the public and the federal government to make insulin more
affordable. This is a huge step towards lowering the cost of a
prescription drug that millions rely on to survive. But other
pharmaceutical companies continue to inflate prices for profit.

[ [link removed] ]Sign the petition: Tell pharmaceutical companies to follow Eli Lilly’s
lead and cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month.

Onward,
Ro
