We are one step closer to revoking a rule left behind by the Trump-Pence administration. The Department of Health and Human Services has proposed a new rule that will reverse the Trump refusal of care rule, which gave the power to basically anyone working in a health care setting—from hospital workers to pharmacies to ambulance drivers—to deny patients care just because of personal beliefs. This rule is very dangerous and has no place in our health care system because all people deserve the care they need. This new proposed rule will revoke the Trump-Pence refusal of care rule that allowed hospitals, doctors, nurses, and other individuals and institutions to deny a patient standard medical care based on their personal beliefs and dismiss the patient's health completely. Will you help us ensure this proposed new rule goes through?

Hospitals have refused to treat or refer someone who needs an abortion. Pharmacies have denied patients birth control or medications needed for miscarriage or chronic health conditions. In order to protect patients who may be targeted and lose access to care due to the unlawful Trump rule, we need to take action and tell the Biden administration to support the new proposed rule and protect patients NOW!
