John,
Breaking news: This week, Chief authors Senator Kelly Morrison and Representative Cedrick Frazier introduced legislation bringing Ranked Choice Voting statewide, the Protect and Advance Democracy Act ! The bill, SF 2270 [[link removed]] , enacts Ranked Choice Voting in primary and general elections for state and federal offices and gives local jurisdictions the immediate option to adopt RCV for local elections if they choose.
Sen. Morrison and Rep. Frazier are reaching out to their colleagues and asking them to sign onto the bill.
Now is the time to contact your legislators and ask them to support and pass the bill this session [[link removed]] ! If you’ve already contacted your legislators, now’s the time to do so again –– it’s important that we drive in as many contacts as possible to the Minnesota House and Senate so legislators understand the strength and depth of grassroots support for the bill.

Protecting and strengthening our democracy is urgent. Our elections must reduce division, be fully inclusive, foster civility and coalition-building, ensure majority winners, and stop the spoiler problem –– resulting in a government responsive to that majority. Ranked Choice Voting is a key solution to our divided politics, and is a viable, proven step we can take right now.
Minnesota can become the first state in the nation to pass RCV statewide through legislative action, and you can help make that a reality by contacting your legislators today [[link removed]] .
Together, we can make Minnesota a shining example of what is possible and lead the nation in promoting a more inclusive, representative and responsive democracy for all.
Thank you for taking this urgent call to action!
Sincerely,
Jeanne Massey
