[ stdin# ]Women's March
John —
12 Democratic state Attorneys General just sued the Food & Drug
Administration in federal court to make the abortion pill mifepristone
MORE accessible.
Wait… haven’t we been talking about a lawsuit to overturn mifepristone’s
FDA approval?
Yes. A federal judge in Texas is expected to rule against mifepristone’s
approval in the coming days — which could effectively ban the drug
nationwide, even in states that protect reproductive rights.
So… what happens now?
If different federal courts issue conflicting rulings on mifepristone, the
Supreme Court might have to get involved. Regardless, a ruling in our
favor would prove to everyone that we won’t sit back and let anti-abortion
radicals strip away our rights without a fight.
