Dear John, The internship program that’s opening doors for BIPOC students across the Bay is back and now seeking applications for its sixth cohort. Can you spread the word? |

What is BAHIP? The Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) is an internship designed to train low-income college students of color for a career in affordable housing development and project management. The program removes common barriers to opportunity in the industry and supports a robust pipeline of professional leaders to diversify and strengthen the affordable housing sector. Who Should Apply? We strongly encourage applications from students entering their last year of college in fall 2023 who have an interest in urban studies and/or community development. Students who are bi-cultural and/or bilingual/bi-literate are also encouraged to apply. |

Do you know a low-income college student of color who’s ready to join the housing justice movement? - The BAHIP application is officially open and we are accepting applications until Friday, March 24, 2023.
- Activate your network! College students who qualify for BAHIP often discover the program through word-of-mouth, so we’re relying on you to forward this email to your networks and otherwise inform folks about the internship!
- If you’re getting ready to apply, review the program description and stop by the next virtual info session (not required to apply but encouraged) to ask questions about the internship and application process. The next and final info session is Monday, March 6 from 1-2PM. Send me an e-mail at [email protected] to get the link for joining the webinar!

It’s time our industry better represents the diversity of people, neighborhoods, and cultures that make up our unique regional identity. Year six here we come! |
