Parent Action Network (PAN), a project of Smart Approaches to Marijuana, is a national coalition of family members of loved ones who have been negatively impacted by marijuana. PAN uses the shared knowledge and lived experience of family members to advocate for changes in policy though specialized training and support. Specifically, PAN’s mission includes:
- Empowering families to use their voices to advocate for change;
- Providing emotional support;
- Teaching self-care and resiliency;
- Connecting families to resources, treatment options and other services;
- Providing support groups and training;
- Helping with goal setting and action plans; and
- Reducing isolation and confusion.
