I'm sending this message again, John, and here's why:
We had some technical issues with our donation page on Tuesday...if you tried to make a gift, you may not have been able to.
But now the problem has been fixed. So if you tried to donate and couldn't - or even
if you didn't try - please take a moment now to do so. As
I said in my previous message, we are working to stand against the
attacks on public lands, promote effective conservation programs, and
ensure all American's have access to a quality park or open
space that is close to home. That's why we need you to take the
extra step and become a member of our Monthly Giving Society today to
help fuel our critical work to protect public lands.

John,
Later this year, Americans will have the opportunity to take a stand
for public land and elect leaders and support legislative priorities that will create community green spaces, protect our wild
open spaces, safeguard our precious water resources, secure wildlife
habitats, and preserve the unique recreational opportunities that wild and scenic lands offer... And we need the help of our committed activists and supporters in order to cut through the election-year noise.

The best thing you can do to make this come to pass is become a
steadfast monthly donor to The Trust for Public Land. Monthly
contributions, no matter how large or small, are especially valuable
because they form a steady revenue stream we can depend on -
which is necessary for long-term planning. And we have a lot of
long-term planning to do.

Our goal for the rest of the month is to get 220 progressive
advocates and supporters like you to become monthly donors. Your
steady monthly support will fuel our critical work to:
* help our Federal Affairs team in D.C. defend public lands on
three fronts: securing full funding for the Land and Water
Conservation Fund, protecting the Antiquities Act, and making
sure that no more national monuments are chopped to pieces.
* ensure that every American has a park or open space within a
10-minute walk of home.
* convert bleak, bare schoolyards into green, vibrant centers of
the community.
* make communities more resilient and prepared for a changing
climate.
Rest assured, The Trust for Public Land will be here throughout
2020, to stand against attacks on public lands, promote effective
conservation programs, and ensure all Americans have access to a
quality park or open space within a 10-minute walk from home.
At this crucial time, we need you to take the extra step and
join the ongoing fight to protect public lands. You'll be glad
you did.

Kim Elliot
