Eli Lilly Limits Cost-Sharing – Caps Insulin at $35 |
Eli Lilly announced today that, effective immediately, the company will limit cost-sharing for its insulin products to $35. This is great news! As the leading voice advocating for insulin affordability, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) shares in this success with the diabetes community, including more than 37 million Americans with diabetes, 96 million with prediabetes, their families and everyone who advocates for increased access to insulin.
While this is an important step, more work needs to be done.
Every 23 seconds, another person is diagnosed with diabetes in the United States. Every two minutes, someone dies from a diabetes-related illness. The mission of the ADA is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. That’s why your donation is critical.
Your donation will make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans by:
-
Advocating for equitable and affordable health care, including insulin affordability
-
Connecting people living with diabetes and their caregivers to resources
-
Funding critical, ground-breaking, and lifesaving research
-
Providing education about preventing or delaying the onset of diabetes
Are you ready to help us continue the fight?
Help ADA build on this momentum in the fight against diabetes by donating or becoming an advocate. |
