Mixed-status immigrant families disproportionately experienced material hardships in 2021
With nearly half reporting food insecurity, adults in mixed-status families are more likely to report material hardships than adults in families with other immigration statuses or in all-US-born families.

Immigration concerns continued to deter immigrant families with children from safety net programs in 2021
Roughly 3 in 10 adults in immigrant families with children who have incomes below 400 percent of the federal poverty level reported avoiding noncash government benefits in the past year because of immigration-related concerns.
