This morning, we got some worrying news: The first 2024 Congressional ratings were just released and my district was ranked one of the most competitive seats in the entire country.

In fact, I’m the most vulnerable House Democrat in all of California!

Which brings me to this — we’re facing a critical end-of-month deadline and I need your help to reach our goal. I’ll leave a link [[link removed]] here and if you can, please chip in before midnight.

Now let me explain why I need your support:

First, these new ratings should be a wake-up call for everyone. I worry there is a growing misconception that Democrats are “safe” next year - but that couldn’t be further from the truth! This race is going to be extremely competitive and these early rankings prove it.

Second, the experts are saying I could lose this race if we don’t start working right now to defend this seat. That means we have to start building up our grassroots fundraising early so we start hiring organizers asap.

To do that, we have to stay on top of our fundraising goals every month. But right now, we’re falling $3,525 short for February and we need to close that gap before midnight. That’s why I’m coming to you and asking for your support. 2024 may seem far away right now, but when it comes to this election and what Republicans are planning, I promise you it isn’t.
