FIRST: Mitch McConnell tried to force the Senate to hold Trump’s impeachment trial during the dead of night – without any evidence from the House investigation.
THEN: Senate Republicans unanimously voted to block any witnesses or subpoenas for additional evidence.
AND NOW: Donald Trump’s legal team is boldly LYING about the facts during the Senate impeachment trial!
This is a new low, even for the Republicans.
Mitch McConnell is no stranger to breaking every rule, norm, and precedent to get his way, and this impeachment trial is no different. McConnell is doing anything and everything he can to prevent a fair or transparent trial – and from letting the American people hear the truth.
Thankfully, Mitch is up for reelection this November, and we have an opportunity to pull off what would be the biggest upset in Democratic politics – finally defeating Mitch McConnell and removing him from office once and for all.
The most recent polls in Kentucky show that Mitch McConnell’s popularity is at historic lows. And even Nate Silver – one of the most trusted voices in politics – says that he thinks that Democrat Amy McGrath can take down Mitch.
