Hi Team,
Yesterday, the
San Antonio Express-News published an article with some details about my health. The article is
here — but I also want you to hear straight from me.
On Monday, I had surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to remove small, slow-growing tumors that my doctors discovered last summer. My prognosis is good, and I should be back at work in Washington after several weeks of recovery at home in Texas.
When I go back to Washington, I’ll keep working to build out what I call the Infrastructure of Opportunity — the great public schools and universities, sound health care system, and good-paying jobs that enable Americans to pursue their dreams.
If you have ideas about how we can make life better for American families, I’d be glad to hear from you. Please let me know by clicking here — and as I recover over the next few weeks, I’ll look forward to reading messages from folks like you.
Talk soon,
Joaquin
