#29DaysofHeart Features Champions & Partners
WomenHeart’s #29DaysofHeart social media campaign wrapped up today. Focused on raising awareness about heart disease in Black women, the campaign lifted up the voices of WomenHeart Champions through quotes and live interviews, as well as featured weekly interviews with campaign partners. These conversations with the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), Preeclampsia Foundation, and DiabetesSisters highlighted their organizational efforts to improve Black women’s heart health. Now Recruiting: New WomenHeart Champions
WomenHeart is hosting a virtual Science & Leadership Symposium in April 2023. We are currently accepting applications from women living with heart disease who want to attend and become new WomenHeart Champions. The virtual symposium will include a mix of pre-recorded and live sessions, all scheduled to take place between April 3-21. WomenHeart Champions in the Spotlight
Throughout Heart Month, WomenHeart Champions were featured on their local news programs, local newspapers and online. They shared their heart stories, provided information about heart disease in women, offered advice, and promoted their support networks. Among these features include stories from Boise ([link removed] Phoenix ([link removed] and Santa Barbara County ([link removed] Across the country, dozens of other Champions hosted educational events, handed out Red Bags of Courage™, and shared their personal stories of inspiration.
