You’ve heard a lot from my team and I in the past few days, so let me explain.
Right now, we have an amazing opportunity, where we all get to decide what our country is going to be and who it’s going to be for.
Change is determined by our actions and what we put into our movement. It requires hope, resilience, and collective power. Together, we overcame millions in fear-mongering attack ads last election and defied every single odd because the people of Western Pennsylvania decided to stand up and fight for each other. We proved that the power of the People is greater than the people in power.
But the work is far from over.
Those same fear-mongering companies, super PACs, and the extreme right-wing will stop at nothing to take back their power and continue to let our nation slip down the road of fascism, wealth inequality, racism, xenophobia, and antisemitism. We can’t let that happen.
Our team fundraises constantly because it takes so many resources in order to go up against these Goliaths who are determined to shape our country to work for them and not the people who make up our nation. When we set a goal of $16,042 for February, it’s not an arbitrary number, but strategic and necessary so we can stay in the fight. There is too much at stake, so I am asking if you can chip in $5 or what you can to keep us in Congress.
