Team -- 47 years ago yesterday, the Supreme Court declared in Roe v. Wade that abortion care is a right.
This increased bodily autonomy allowed pregnant people to exercise more control over if and when to start a family, manage their careers and finances, and prioritize their physical and mental health.
Unfortunately, anti-choice forces across our country have been hard at work for the last 47 years in attempting to end this right. We've seen it in states like Alabama and Texas, where the state legislatures tried to pass blatantly unconstitutional laws attempting to end reproductive health care. These intensified efforts to strip Constitutional rights from pregnant people and to criminalize abortion led me to speak publically for the first time about my own abortion.

Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and Congressional Republicans have actively fought to restrict our rights since the moment they assumed power. Today, we need to stand up, not just for pregnant people's right to make choices about their own bodies, but also to remove barriers to reproductive care like high costs, forced counseling and mandatory waiting periods.
We must stand firm and make clear to them and anyone else who would do the same: We will not go back.
Join me in supporting reproductive health care for all -- add your name.
