On February 23, 2023, the TWHC hosted their Legislative Advocacy Day at the Capitol. Evelyn Delgado along with Representatives Toni Rose, Donna Howard, and Claudia Ordaz spoke at the event to address issues including ensuring postpartum mothers have 12 months of Medicaid coverage and increasing funding for women's health programs. It was an eventful day fighting for Texas women's rights and needs, from sharing personal stories to supporting legislative priorities. “Investment in health care access is investment in Texas' future,” said State Rep. Claudia Ordaz.

On February 16, 2023, teens from the Youth Advocacy Council (San Antonio) and Youth Advocacy Board (Dallas) descended on the Capitol to meet with legislative staff to share their views on a variety of bills. Sophia Montemayor, Program Coordinator of Health Education and YAC said, "We have been building an advocacy foundation for them since day one. Advocacy Day is really bringing everything together. They get to apply their expertises and have their voices heard." See who they met with and what they discussed here. 

Evelyn Delgado moderated a "very moving" panel featuring patients and their families talking about their personal journeys for this year's Texas Collaborative of Healthy Mothers and Babies (TCHMB) Summit. "My daughter is alive, but the journey to get there wasn't easy," said Judith Francis of Momma's Voices.
