 Hi John — it's Emily Cain. Looking back on this month, it's been a BIG February at EMILYs List, and March is gearing up to be just as exciting.
I am so proud of our work together, including two huge victories just last week: state Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz in Wisconsin, who put reproductive rights at the forefront of her campaign and won more votes in her primary election than her two conservative opponents combined; and Jennifer McClellan, who made history in Virginia by becoming the first Black woman elected to represent her state in Congress!
These victories demonstrate just how impactful your support is and how early financial support from our community makes all the difference. But we still have a tough fight ahead of us. Anti-choice Republicans are working hard to restrict our reproductive rights further.
Right now, we're falling $16,219 short of our can't-miss $175,000 End-of-Month fundraising goal. So, please, will you chip in to help close the gap by midnight so EMILYs List can continue to elect fierce women leaders who will fight for our rights?
With your support, we've empowered women from all backgrounds to be a part of making positive change in town halls, statehouses, the U.S. Congress, and the White House. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: EMILYs List is the most effective organization working to create this kind of change.
