I wanted to take a moment to check in before midnight, John.

You've heard from my team and me this week about how we've fallen behind our fundraising goal for February. Since then, grassroots supporters like you have stepped up to help get us closer to our goal – but with only a few hours left, we're not quite there yet.

We can't afford to come up short. Last year, I defeated my extremist opponent by just 2.4% – one of the closest races in the entire country. And I was one of only five Democrats to win a House seat in a district carried by Donald Trump in 2022.

We know Republicans will take this as a sign that they have a real chance to flip this seat red in 2024 and expand their narrow House majority. With election experts already calling this race a "toss-up," it's only a matter of time before opponents enter the race and the attacks against me start.
