John, our country’s outdated energy grid is a big climate problem.

Under President Biden’s leadership, we’ve seen record investment in wind, solar and other low-carbon energy technologies — but there’s a massive hurdle standing in the way of our clean energy goals: The volume of clean energy projects has surpassed our grid’s capacity to connect new sources of electricity to our communities.

Sign our petition to tell Congress we demand an update to our grid. [[link removed]]

SIGN ON TO UPDATE OUR GRID SYSTEM » [[link removed]]Though we have thousands of renewable energy proposals, most of them are on pause because they’re waiting for permission to connect to our grid. The combination of aging infrastructure that requires expensive upgrades and an energy grid that doesn’t reach where renewable resources are located is stagnating our ability to take action on our clean energy goals — but our SEEC Members are working to change that.

SEEC Members like Reps. Sean Casten and Mike Levin, who co-chair the SEEC Clean Energy Deployment Task Force, are leading the charge in Congress to update our outdated grid. And we need you to add your voice to bolster their efforts. That’s why we’re asking you to sign our petition today — in order to pass the updates our grid so desperately needs, we need to make sure everyone’s voices are included in the conversation. SIGN ON TO UPDATE OUR GRID SYSTEM » [[link removed]]John, the growth rate for our grid’s transmission buildout has drastically slowed over the last decade. And with thousands of renewable energy projects on the backburner — and on the horizon — SEEC Members know we don’t have a moment to waste. We need sweeping reform now.

Add your name to our petition so our Members can get to work updating our grid — and reach our ambitious clean energy goals. [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2020, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
