We’re rapidly approaching the 5 year anniversary of the beginning of the
war in Yemen — which has spiraled into what the United Nations is calling
the “world’s most urgent humanitarian crisis.”

This is what a culture of endless war has wrought: A United States that
was once a force for peace now stands idly by as 3.6 million Yemenis are
displaced by relentless airstrikes, famine, and disease.

Our course of action has always been clear. We must rein in an executive
that was never supposed to have these war powers in the first place,
regain the role over war that Congress was constitutionally allocated, and
end our support for this bloodshed.

[ [link removed] ]Will you join the call to end our support for the war in Yemen? Over
100,000 people have died, and more will follow if we continue to stand
idly by.

Our close call with Iran is a critical reminder: Allowing this executive
to have incredibly broad powers over war is a constant risk to our
security and international peace.

But it is also a moral failing. Our role in the international community is
not to embolden conflict and endorse needless bloodshed. We should be
using our power to build a diplomatic coalition to solve problems without
war.

courage to act. Will you join my call to end the war in Yemen, and pass a
War Powers resolution to stop more endless war?
