We may have reached the end of February, but our celebration of Black leaders, changemakers, and activists continues all year long.

Since our founding, Fair Fight has fought to expand the freedom to vote and amplify Black and brown voices that have been systematically excluded from the electoral process. Through mobilization, activism, and education, we work to honor the legacy that Black leaders have built.

We're currently tracking behind what we need in order to hit our fundraising goal for February — if we want to achieve our goals to prepare for future elections, we need all hands on deck now.

Our efforts pay off. The Fair Fight team works tirelessly in between election cycles to challenge voter suppression attempts as they come up and mobilize voters to make their voices heard at the ballot box. In 2022 alone, we engaged millions of voters online and over the phone with timely voting information, we endorsed and supported 56 Black and brown candidates, and we expanded voting access by advocating for additional polling locations and hours of operation across Georgia. As we look ahead to future elections, where Georgia will once again be a key battleground state, we’re relying on strong grassroots support to keep up our momentum.

We envision a hopeful future for voting rights, building on the incredible strength and resilience of the civil rights champions before us — from Fannie Lou Hamer to Mary Church Terrell to John Lewis. They bravely spoke out despite enduring violence against them to make so many of today’s freedoms possible, and we owe it to them to keep up the fight.

This movement is only as strong as the people who step up and pitch in. We need activists in your area and beyond to chip in whatever you can — before our midnight fundraising deadline tonight — to ensure we have the resources necessary to protect the freedom to vote and defy anti-democratic extremists. Black voices and Black votes won’t be silenced, and we’re counting on you to chip in however you can today.
